After waiting for quite long period of time, i finally got the book. My Milk Toof was created by a very talented Californian artist, Inhae Renee Lee. The story is about two cute little milk toof, Ickle and Lardee.
The idea for the blog came after researching the term milk tooth that she heard in a movie. She became inspired to create a tooth character, her original plan was to design a resin toy to sell. But her boyfriend encouraged her to start developing stories around the characters instead. She began photographing the little teeth around the apartment. Ickle and Lardee are based on her two nieces, Jamie and Chloe.
"Ickle and Lardee are handmade with super sculpey. They are then baked, polished, and painted. For props, some are handmade from fabric and clay, but the rest are from garage sales, toy stores, and ebay. Lately there has been a lot of sewing involved." Inhae said.
Ickle (left) is a smart and curious toof who loves to read books. Other interests include cutting coupons, nibbling on furniture, and David Bowie.
Lardee (right) is the loveable, slightly pudgy toof who can be found following ickle around the house. If in need of a toy, Lardee has a magical red bag with an endless supply.
